Influence of Land Use Intensity and Management on Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi-Avocado Symbiosis

نویسندگان

چکیده

This study was done to assess the effect of soil disturbance on arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi spore abundance and root colonization in avocado (Persea americana Mill.). Rhizosphere samples were collected from different farms south Florida analyzed for degree roots, density diversity along with characteristics. There significant difference characteristics among farms. Similarly, there a roots morphotypes land use management practices. However, no total number spores these sites. correlation between strongly influenced by such as moisture, carbon, nitrogen, organic matter. Further research is necessary identify AMF species determine role growth tolerance anthropogenic highly disturbed urban soils.

Influence of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi symbiosis with different pistachio rootstocks in salinity stress condition

This study was designed to investigate the effect of Mycorrhiza symbiosis on some orphophysiological characteristics of four different pistachio rootstocks under salinity stress. This research was conducted in a completely randomized design with factorial arrangement with three factors. The factors were included rootstocks at four levels (Badami-e Riz Zarand, Qazvini, Sarakhs, and UCB1), mycorr...

Impact of land use intensity on the species diversity of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi in agroecosystems of Central Europe.

The impact of land use intensity on the diversity of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) was investigated at eight sites in the "three-country corner" of France, Germany, and Switzerland. Three sites were low-input, species-rich grasslands. Two sites represented low- to moderate-input farming with a 7-year crop rotation, and three sites represented high-input continuous maize monocropping. Repre...

Symbiosis relationship between some arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) and Salsola laricina and its effect on improving plant growth parameters

The aim of this study was to examine the symbiosis relationshipbetween some arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) and Salsola laricina (Chenopodiaceae), a non-mycotrophic plant speciesand its effect on improving plant growth parameters. Initially, the development of AMF density was monitored through two parameters including evaluation of mycorrhizal colonization of plant roots and density measurem...

Development of the arbuscular mycorrhizal symbiosis.

The arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) symbiosis formed between plant roots and fungi is one of the most widespread symbiotic associations found in plants, yet our understanding of events underlying its development are limited. The recent integration of biochemical, molecular and genetic approaches into analyses of the symbiosis is providing new insights into various aspects of its development. In the...

Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi and their Value for Ecosystem Management

Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi (AMF) are a group of obligate biotrophs, to the extent that they must develop a close symbiotic association with the roots of a living host plant in order to grow and complete their life cycle [1]. The term “mycorrhiza” literally derives from the Greek mykes and rhiza, meaning fungus and root, respectively. AMF can symbiotically interact with almost all the plants t...
